Keynote:  Trans Lawyers

Noah Lewis and Stevie Tran

While lawyers normally advocate on behalf of their clients, some lawyers must be their own advocates. In spite of painful rejection by some, Stevie Tran is writing her own success story as a transgender Vietnamese-American law student at Hofstra Law School. Transgender rights attorney Noah Lewis transitioned while attending Harvard Law School where he worked to transform the institution as well as himself. Stevie and Noah share their own stories of transition and the need for personal advocacy.

Lunchtime Networking Events

Networking for Youth Express Yourself! Get to know your fellow youth participants, and give them a glimpse of who you are. Moderated by the staff of Center Lane, a drop in center for LBGTQ youth.

Networking for Adults Meet other teachers, counselors or parents who are concerned with LGBT youth and their allies. Moderated by GLSEN and PFLAG leadership.
